Thank you. I've been struggling for so long and I still am, but this weary soul is getting rested and slowly I'm getting better. My life became better the day I found Desert Skies.

That's so great to hear, Amanda! I'm so glad you found it

It has been a pleasure to experience the Astral Plane alongside our otherworldly friends! I do have to let it be known that Corson is my favorite, and I think he would love Ohio. Keep on making great things, man!
Admin Reply by: The Attendant
Hey thanks for that! I also love Corson and I'm sure he'd love Ohio

Thank you for this story. Taking that moment to accept "you're doing your best and it will all work out in the end" I'll keep trying to remember, just like Tendi 😊

You're welcome, friend! And I do believe it's all going to work out, truly

I work in a nursing home kitchen and I spend most of my mornings listening to this podcast as Iโ€™m getting breakfast and lunch ready. It is such a comfort of a show that confronts death head on. When working in a place where people die often, itโ€™s kinda nice to think of the Attendant, Mac and Shirley to greet them. Even if the podcast is fiction, itโ€™s still a comfort. Thank you.

As someone who has worked for an assisted care facility myself, I know it can be hard being face to face with death so much of the time. I'm glad to know DS provides comfort to you as you serve some of the most vulnerable among us. Such important work. And I'm sure they'll have a lot to talk with Shirley about.

Thank you, traveler ❤

I was immediately hooked after listening to the 1st chapter. I'm absolutely in love with universe you've weaved, the different spheres each designed to prepare the soul for their next life. It's a beautiful concept. If there is indeed life after death I would want it to be like the universe in Desert Skies! Thank you sooo much!!❤

I'm so glad you enjoyed it Aparna. Thank you very much for your kind words

Spoke to my Damn Soul. My podcasts app played all of these out of order. I only just discovered your show recently. Iโ€™ve listened to a several episodes then when I went back to listen to a few more.. it played from here. Mid season 2. My rent is weeks late. My car insurance e cancelled. Iโ€™m trying to hide it from my kids because this is 4 times in 4 years. New company, new job and they could not fix their problems and everyone lost their roles and didnโ€™t get paid. And Iโ€™m listening to this out of sync episode and itโ€™s literally speaking to my soul. Interesting, huh? Thatโ€™s how it works though. Iโ€™ve been saying for a long time, this, โ€œThere is nothing more important to do or be than Youโ€. Itโ€™s the thing. We do what we feel is right and it is waves from there. We we are true to us, then the waves we create are so big we canโ€™t even perceive them. But, those around us are shifted just the right amount to keep in motion themselves.

Hi Kelly! I'm so sorry that the show played out of order but so happy that it still somehow worked. It sounds like times have been awfully hard and it breaks my heart to heal it. I'm hoping that the new year can provide new opportunities for you to care for yourself and the ones you love.

I only just discovered your wonderful show and have listened up to episode 8 but can say I'm hooked. As someone who does work at a gas station, finding a protagonist that is like me makes me feel represented, and Shirley's kind words that a gas station is "... an oasis on the highway" and "Shouldnโ€™t the first place they arrive after that journey really be something special?" really helps me feel like my work is truly worthwhile. You bring comfort and warmth with this show and you'll have a fan for life from me. Thank you.
Admin Reply by: The Attendant
This is so awesome, Matthew! Shirley's words aren't just meaningless jargon, I mean every word of it. Gas stations are an important part of our world and the people who work there can have a massive impact on the day of a traveler. Your work is truly worthwhile. Thanks for it, and I'm so glad you found the show

Hello! I had to come by and say I've listened to the whole series about 5x, and had to join club 86 to further satisfy my addiction. I listen to so many podcasts, but yours is perfection in audio form and the astral plane has become my comfort zone during a time difficultyin my life. The vibes are immaculate, the music is moving, Mac and Tendy feel like good friends and I love every second. I thank you for putting this out into the world so I could find it. I love your work and will be immersing myself in it again now, goodbye!

So glad to have you here! I'm happy to know that Desert Skies has been a source of comfort during a difficult time. And thanks a ton for joining Club 86 and helping to support the show!

I've been listening to podcasts for years, and this one reminds me of walking around late at night to get home, and made me feel less alone when I worked nights or stayed up late. Few podcasts have made me both laugh and cry at the same time
Admin Reply by: The Attendant
Thank you so much, Isaia. I'm glad to know Mac, Tendy, and C.A.S.H. helped you feel less alone. They do that for me too
Jenimoo from Somerset UK
Bravo Sir, what a series! Utterly fabulous, never had a burrito but I'm going to investigate!
Admin Reply by: The Attendant
Thank you Jenimoo! And as for the burrito, find a tortilla somewhere somehow, wrap something in it. Boom. Burrito

As a delivery driver I spend a lot of time listening to podcasts. This one has really made me feel some things and make me think. I appreciate your help in making my day better stop by stop.

Working on boring assignments that's mindless (stupid inDesign) - thank you for this amazing cosy beautiful and fascinating audiodrama!!!

I drive around/wear headphones a lot for work, and Desert Skies is THE best podcast for a part-time gravestone restorer. If you're ever in an Ontario cemetery, and you see a woman in a Mountain Goats t-shirt scraping lichen off of some marble and openly sobbing, that's me, and I'm having a great time. Thank you so, so, so much for this show, it's a balm on my soul and I'm so glad it exists!

What an incredibly important job and I'm glad I get to be a part of it

Desert Skies is one of the best AudioDramaโ€™s Iโ€™ve ever listened to. Thank you for your beautiful storytelling. P.S. Tell Mac that the Sweet & Sour Chicken and the Buttered Noodles burritoโ€™s might make a very interesting combination. 😉
Admin Reply by: The Attendant
Thank you! And I told Mac and he says that combinations can always surprise ya!

desert skies has been on my list for quite a while now and i regret not picking it up earlier!! the show is so heart warming and the world that has been created is so full of life and vibrancy <3 iโ€™m only on chapter 11 so for now, iโ€™ll definitely be taking some burritos and snacks to go as i continue to follow whatever wacky thing happens next!!
Admin Reply by: The Attendant
First off, congrats on being the 100th signer of the guestbook! And I'm glad you found the show, better late than never. And there's some more wackiness on it's way, rest assured! 'Preciate the comment

Tuning into Desert Skies FM, the static crackles from the Buick Skylark's radio as warm as the Desert Sphere's heat and tells unexpected stories from the staff that work there. They tell of remembering who you are, patience with yourself, and letting experiences refine you rather than hold you back; All while making you laugh and cry while they're at it. I look forward to every broadcast as I take my own journey down the Astral Highway one bit at a time. P.S. Thanks for the Shack Juice, jerky, and Desert Drop: Cosmic Blast soda!

A touching tribute. Thank you so much, my friend!

I found this podcast and I am a huge lover of sci-fi and gas stations. It is like this podcast is made for me! 😂 It's engaging, yet calming...like a slow drive down the Astral highway. My go-to road trip snack would be a Mountain Dew (Normally Zero..but I'm dead so does it matter??), Snickers, and a bag of Spicy Dill Pickle chips. ๐Ÿ™‚
Admin Reply by: The Attendant
So glad you found the show and that it ticks all the boxes for you! Absolutely no reason to go with Zero now. There are no calories on the Astral Plane. We leave those terrible little things back on the Physical Plane where they belong

Is there any way I can find all the dialog for cash? Trying to turn my alexa into her 😄
Admin Reply by: The Attendant
Hey, if you're looking for Cash's recordings on separate files, I unfortunately have no way to share that with you. But a really cool idea!
