I have been listening to desert skies back when the first season was released. I found it quickly became one of my favourites. I loved the cosmology and its wacky weirdness. Always keeping you on your toes.
After a while, I decided to show it to my daughter. I had shown her a few podcasts before and she never really seemed to retain anything or follow what was occuring.
That is to say before she listened to desert skies. After a few nights she started quoting the show and recalling events that even i had forgotten.
There is something truely special about this audio fiction. The characters feel so real and engauging. Listening to the show makes it feel like you have been dropped into a living universe than a story.
The show breaks the mold along with your heart.
I didnโt know I could enjoy a podcast some much, it brings me so much joy and I canโt wait to hear what will happen nexts.i love how you are able to talk about dark topics and still manage to end on a happy note. All this to say you have inspired me in my own journey of writing and donโt ever stop doing what you love and donโt forget to take your own advice!!!
Ps. Just an idea could there be and astral plane of mushrooms and dragons like mushrooms as tall as trees and dragons of different size and you were able to stop by and have tea with them or something there could also be a a sphere mover dragon named Shroomie (the mushrooms are just for looking
and admiring only nothing else)❤
Hey Tendy! Enjoying the podcast, saved the โTake Care of Yourselfโ bonus episode because I was having horrible sleep but it helped so thank you and Mac for that episode because it really helped me fall asleep. Anyways this podcast has been such a joy to listen to especially when I need something to listen to. So thanks guys and tell C.A.S.H I say hi!
Sincerely, a Canadian who also writes stories.
Desert Skies came into my life at the perfect time, when I needed it the most -- Thank you <3
I'm so excited to start season 3
I don't really know how say what my brain wants to say, so I'll just say thank you for making this show.
Wonderufl show with outstanding characters. Thank you for producing it.
I have been binging this podcast and it makes me cry almost every episode, it is beautiful and heartfelt and I appreciate what it stands for and the stories it tells.
I cannot wait for what comes next.
xx
Just heard you have a guestbook from the first episode of Season 3 and I HAD to add my own contribution. Desert Skies is such a cozy podcast with incredibly charming characters and it still amazes me that it is all done by a single person. I tend to be very picky with a lot of the longform media I consume (if I'm going to be with it for a long time then I might as well really enjoy it!) and Desert Skies has definitely captivated me from the beginning. Looking forward to this season! Much love from Portugal!
hi! i have been speedrunning through podcasts for about 3 years now, but there are (relatively) very few which have become comfort shows for me. Malevolent, the penumbra podcast, the magnus archives, mayfair watchers society, bunker 8, tanis, midnight burger and desert skies are the ones i always relisten to and obsess over. i am incredibly picky about podcasts and the way they tell their stories. desert skies is in my top 3 favourite podcasts of all time. i am so appreciative of all your hard work and i love your way of story telling. it scratches a part of my brain that always seems to be itchy haha
keep doing what youโre doing, much love from YORKSHIRE AYYYYY BIG UP YORKSHIRE
Desert Skies is my favorite weird little world! I laugh and cry and love every episode. I wish I could know the characters in real life because I can relate to everyone of them. I love yโall. Thank you for sharing your story with the world, it is a better place because of it! Donโt stop. Thank you!
....you can teach a old dogs new tricks. You've helped more than you'll ever know. I'm so grateful. Thank you.
I just wanted to say thank you for this. Desert Skies has become one of my favorite podcasts alongside Midnight Burger and Welcome to Nightvale.
It's been cathartic. I lost my Dad last year and it's been really soothing to imagine him as a traveler. So thank you for what you do.
Sending love from the home of Lincoln! Can't put in words how much this podcast means to me!
This podcast feels like food for the heart and mind... I love to turn it on when I am having a tough day at work or am struggling. Thank you and great work!
Thanks for sharing your gift.
Listening to the season 3 premiere on my big medical appointments day while I wait for my order of crunchy french toast. What a day 💕 I cannot wait to see what's up ahead. Tears abound.
This podcast made me cry multiple times.
I listen to podcasts while I clean at my job, and Desert Skies has quicky risen to a favorite! I'm only through the 1st season so far, but I love everything about it. The writing, the sound design and of course the voice acting! I've found myself cackling at several scenes while my coworkers look at me in concern 😂 Keep up the fanatic work! ❤
Hi Tendy, Mac, and CASH!
I really appreciate your work! As an upcoming voice performer I am super impressed. I appreciate the mix of humor, heart, and the way you show different ways of processing life. I find listening very comforting and inspiring. Sending the best energy waves your way with your consent.
Thank you for making this podcast. You and your work are so inspiring, I found your Tumblr recently and it's so lovely that a creator like yourself is so encouraging and inspiring to your fans. I also found Desert Skies through Midnight Burger, and I'm so glad I did! Here I am almost a year later having listened to it several times over and so so excited for s3. Desert Skies means so much to me. All of it, and especially Grief Train, has given me incredible insight into coping with death that I didn't have before, and I'm so grateful for that. I hope you, Mac, Tendy, and CASH are all doing well ๐
