Stocking up on snacks and drinks before hitting a long, empty stretch of road is a unique experience. I love existing in the in-between, not being here or there, and the desert sphere really captures that feeling. Thank you for Desert Skies, because now I feel like I can go to that special place anytime.

I like the way you describe the magic of a roadtrip. Very lovely. Thank you for the great comment. I'm glad you found the show

LOVE the show man! Such talent that you do everything yourself! The Music rocks!!! Is there a place where I can listen to the music??
Admin Reply by: The Attendant
Hi Nate! No place to listen to the music though that may change down the road, possibly. Glad you're enjoying the show!
Meese from Portland
This is such a wholesome show thank you so much for sharing your talents. I find it a comfort to listen to and always feel relaxed afterwards. I forgot how I stumbled upon this gem I think maybe Midnight Burger? Regardless Iโ€™m happy I did. Currently on season 2! Just met Nony sheโ€™s such a delightful character definitely felt the virtual hugs 🤗

I'm so glad you're enjoying the show and that MB helped you find it! I too am a massive fan of Nonny and her hugs are absolutely the coolest

Thank you for such a comforting show. When I first listened to the earlier episodes it really helped me with what I was going through at the time.

Just wanted to say thanks so much for this amazing podcast, clearly a lot of love and talent goes into it. I have auditory discomfort and find listening to things at lower speeds helps .. at 0.7x I found this podcast so mindbending yet so relaxing & enjoyable .. absolutely loved it, listened to the whole catalogue in a few days ๐Ÿ™‚ winner! I came to the podcast from Leviathan btdubs x

It's wild to imagine listening to it at a slower speed. I must try that sometime. I'm glad you found it relaxing that way. Thank you for the kind words!

I stumbled on Desert Skies as a preview from another podcast. (I think it was Mockery Manor, but who knows) A lot of my favorite pods come to me as off season previews:) Anyway, I am so glad I gave this one a try, I love this show. I sped through season one in a couple weeks, and can't wait to see new episodes drop! Thanks for the amazing content. I still find it hard to believe you do all of the voices. Great voice work make or break am audio drama, and you absolutely kill it every time.

That's high praise! Thank you, Mindy! And I'm glad to hear you came directly from Mockery Manor, because I LOVE that show
Frankie from Perth, Western Australia
Thank you for the music recommendation with the latest FM episode - Dad Weed. It's right up my alley and I love supporting upcoming artists like myself! Love the pod ❤️

I cant wait to jump in the car and start listening to DS. Only started a week ago but hope there are many more series to come - keep up the great work
Admin Reply by: The Attendant
Thanks so much, Pete! I hope you enjoy listening on your trip. It's not a Buick Skylark, is it?
Michele P from Sarasota
I wish I could listen to Desert Skies for the first time again. This is my genre and so hard to find many other podcasts like it. Maybe one day Iโ€™ll be able to drive my skylark to the service station & meet everyone!
Admin Reply by: The Attendant
I hope that day is far far away! Thanks so much for the kind words and glad to know the show means that much to you. You may have already listened to Midnight Burger but many people who listen to DS say it gives them similar vibes. Hard to find someone that doesn't absolutely love it
Mallory from Iowa City
I was looking for a podcast to get me through this weekend, and I listened to all of S1 in two days. I donโ€™t know why, but it was obviously of great importance. Canโ€™t wait to hear more! ๐Ÿ™‚

That's an impressive amount of listening in such a short time!
Jordan from St. Louis
Recently relistened to the podcast to freshen my self up for the new season. Apparently I never finished the first. The season finale had me in tears.
Admin Reply by: The Attendant
Thank you for your comment Jordan! I read the whole thing and it means a lot to me. Thank you for sharing (sorry for having to remove anything that might be a spoiler for those who haven't made it that far).

Desert skies has been an absolute delight and always seems to have something I needed to hear. Not an episode goes by that I'm not inspired by the stories to slow down, appreciate the world around me, and face the pains of the past. Thank you desert skies... but also f*** you for making me cry so often. <3

I'm really glad to hear that the show has been so helpful for you, Garrett. Those kinds of comments definitely inspire me when I'm writing

Super excited for Season 2! Please listen to the song Loveโ€™s Pilot by Tejon Street Corner Thieves. It always reminds me of this podcast.
Admin Reply by: The Attendant
Dang! I woulda swore that song was almost based off the show (If it hadn't been released two months before DS started). Great song. Thank you for sharing!
Sarah from DC
Of course I love the podcast, I'm a Patreon supporter and all, but my goodness, I had no idea you have such a lovely old school hypertext website with links that go here and there and nest and loop around, I love this so much! I want to hug this website.
Admin Reply by: The Attendant
People appreciating this website is one of my favorite things, so thank you!
Robert from Antwerp, Belgium
This podcast truly is something great! I came here after hearing good things from friends who listen to similar podcasts (like Midnight Burger), and this might be one of my favourite podcasts, like, EVER! Also, figuring out that you voice every single character is WILD. I like doing different voices and stuff (I like playing D&D and stuff), and your talent of being able to do these wildly different voices so consistently, is aspirational!
Admin Reply by: The Attendant
Awww. Thanks so much for the kind words, friend! It has been really really fun to take what was essentially was this fun quirky knack for doing voices that would occasionally annoy people and creating a whole world out of it. Grab a mic and give it a try sometime!
Luke from Panamรก
I finished listening today and I'm so THRILLED knowing there's going to be more. I've been listening while cleaning and I do plan on listening again and again and again cause its just so comforting and nice. It helps me turn off my brain for a while and just imagine it all. Desert Skies has given me a lot more motivation to draw too, so there's definitely some more fanart being made! Sending all my love to everyone at the station!!! <3 P.S. My partner actually showed me this show and it got me thinking of our Burrito flavors. No clue what I'd be, but I feel like I'd be some sort of pasta, or garlic bread. :]
Admin Reply by: The Attendant
I love it! A garlic bread burrito with pasta is an absolutely carb-overloaded fever dream and I think it would be a bestseller lol And we have a discord server where we've created an Art Challenge channel and the last day fan art can be submitted is tomorrow, if you happen to get something done before then, please share it https://discord.gg/EXUTWZ3sn5
