I have been listening to desert skies back when the first season was released. I found it quickly became one of my favourites. I loved the cosmology and its wacky weirdness. Always keeping you on your toes.
After a while, I decided to show it to my daughter. I had shown her a few podcasts before and she never really seemed to retain anything or follow what was occuring.
That is to say before she listened to desert skies. After a few nights she started quoting the show and recalling events that even i had forgotten.
There is something truely special about this audio fiction. The characters feel so real and engauging. Listening to the show makes it feel like you have been dropped into a living universe than a story.
The show breaks the mold along with your heart.

So sorry for not responding sooner to this sooner, Wolfgang (slowly working my way through a lot of guestbook signings). Obviously, you and I have gotten to know each other a bit since you shared this and I'm thrilled to know how much the show has meant to your daughter.
